Operations Specialist


Position Summary:
Are you energetic, precise, and ready to make your mark in vacation rentals? Are you savvy with a computer, but don't want to be stuck at a desk all day, every day? Nauset Rental is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be at the center of our operations, ensuring that our guests and homeowners enjoy remarkable experiences at our top-quality vacation homes. Working with a tight-knit team, and with a tech-forward LOCAL company that is here for the long haul and believes in investing in its people. Initially, it will be about diving in, getting hands-on, and learning all aspects of the business during our busy season. We're looking for someone energized to advance their career toward a management role, overseeing the many moving parts of the vacation rental industry.

Responsibilities:

Field Operations

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring properties are rental-ready and appealing.

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for property maintenance and upkeep.

  • Conduct regular property inspections and inventory checks.

  • Conduct communication with owners as needed.

  • Focus on relationship development and achieving high client retention.

Reservations and Customer service

  • Handle reservations and coordinate with teams for effective stay management.

  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly, providing exceptional customer service.

  • Assist with various aspects of vacation rental management, including guest relations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with property owners and guests.

  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient, while having the willingness to seek guidance and direction as needed. Ability to handle uncertainty.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Comfort in navigating tools like google sheets, excel and project management tools. Adaptable to change and learning new software programs as we grow.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get almost anything done when needed. GSD (Get Sh*t Done) mindset. (Please reference this in reaching out to us so we know you read this.)

  • Must reside on Cape Cod, willing to work flexible hours including weekends in-season and be comfortable with a dynamic, non-traditional work schedule.

  • A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle is required.

  • Availability to work Summer weekends (Saturdays required) and rotating on-call schedule “in-season.”
