***Available full weeks only (Saturday to Saturday) in July and August; late June / early September.
We do take less than 7 day rentals outside of July and August but our preference is for full weeks Saturday to Saturday. We typically hold out for full weeks in June/Sept till about 45 days out. We will sometimes book weekends earlier for an increased rate.
***We welcome approved low-impact DOGS - TENANT must reach out to Nauset Rental with dog details for approval either before making reservation or within 48 hours of submitting online reservation. We will need to know the following information:
Interaction with Guests: As much or little as they like
The Neighborhood: One of the most unique neighborhoods on all of outer cape cod. Overlooks both inland waterways and the Atlantic Ocean. World renowned Nauset Beach is a short walk.
Getting Around: Biking, Walking, Car
Other Things to Note: Full heat in this house.
House Rules: Respect the property and enjoy your vacation!
Notes: Typically renters bring their own sheets, towels etc. That said, there are some great local companies we can refer you to that have rental linens available that can be delivered to the home for an additional fee.

Rental process was excellent! Great communication, local tips. Perfect! 5 stars for the manager/ team. The house, Plovers Watch, is an amazing property. The lot and views are spectacular. The house is functional. Lots of deferred maintenance, but not much that actually affects its use. AC on the second floor was a lifesaver on a very hot week. Also had lots of fans onsite. Things that Id want to know before renting: -about 40 stairs down to Priscillas landing. Maybe a little more than I wouldve guessed from pics. Minor pain with little kids and their stuff, but would not be problem for regular adults. Flip side is that the elevation over the inlet makes for an awesome vista! -Priscillas landing is awesome, but the beach is rocky, not sandy. All kinds of cool marine life, but if you want to hang on the beach, you need to take the path (maybe a half mile) to the sandy/ inlet beach. Easy hop over the dune to Nausett beach once there. The bay/inlet beach kind of felt like a small island. Mostly accessed by boaters. Realy nice! Warm water and shallow/ calm for kids. First world problem, but tough to get toddler and infant there and back with beach stuff. Path kind of rocky for wagon. Would be a lovely stroll without kids. - Sunsets- amazing! - Neighboring rental is really close. Super nice family next door, with kids too, so we didnt feel too bad about ours being loud. They did a great job with privacy landscaping, but the houses are just really close for the large lots that theyre on. - the lot is all staked out with survey markers, so likely that itll be razed and replaced, which explains the lack of maintenance. - there was a gas grill there with propane. Only one burner worked. Really a spectacular property. If direct, easy beachfront access is your priority, especially with little kids or older people, maybe a tick below ideal. Otherwise, we felt privileged to spend time at this place!

Quick, efficient, courteous communications and responses to queries. No extra baggage in the way of advertisements, come-ons, etc. Got the job done.
Property
Surprisingly wide vista combined with surprising amount of privacy in what is a pretty densely populated neighborhood. Old-Cape-style accommodations and grounds (but with internet & TV).

Kent was a great host and super accommodating. We booked last minute WITH 2 DOGS and he was super patient and willing to work with us. Price was amazing for the view. Pictures are accurate but still don't do the property justice. Private beach access and views from the house were perfect, plus it's just a short walk to Nauset Beach so no need to drive. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded but close enough to activities.
