Guest Guidelines
As a guest in a premier Cape Cod home, you are asked to carefully read and follow these guidelines approved by the Owner:
Emergency
Call 911 for fire, police or medical emergency
Non-Emergency Contacts
Report problems, loss or damage immediately to Nauset Rental, [email protected] Our normal business hours are 9am-5pm Monday through Saturday.
Noise
Quiet Hours are from 10 p.m. – 8 a.m. each day. No loud parties, music, yelling, noisy TVs or radios during those hours please.
Beach/Yard
No radios. No fires, with or without a fire pit. No litter, including cigarette butts. No tents or overnight structures. Beware of poison ivy. Please stay off the dunes to prevent beach erosion.
Rinse off Sand!
Please rinse off beach sand before re-entering the house. Use the outdoor shower. Not only is it fun and part of the Cape Cod vacation experience, it’s easier on the fragile Cape Cod ecology and the septic system.
Occupancy/Visitors
Overnight occupancy is limited to the number of persons stated in the Rental Agreement. Please also limit the number of daytime visitors. No tents, campers or other overnight accommodations are permitted.
Parking
Please park in the driveway, not on the lawn or road. Vehicle limit as specified in Rental Agreement.
No Pets
Guests are not allowed to keep pets or have visitors with pets unless otherwise agreed specifically.
Trash
Please bag all trash and place in the bin(s) provided.
Care and Cleaning
You are on vacation and here to have fun. But please remember, you are staying in someone’s home. Please treat it and all fixtures/furnishings accordingly. When you leave, please restore the property to the condition it was in when you arrived. For more details, refer to the “Checkout Check List”
Cleaning and Other Supplies
Cleaning supplies are generally located under the kitchen sink or in a closet. A starter kit is typically made available. Anything you need beyond the starter kit is the renter’s responsibility.
Sinks and Toilets
Please do NOT put grease down the sinks. Place it in a leak-proof container in the regular trash. Use only bath tissue in toilets, no facial tissue or any other materials – PLEASE BE KIND TO THE SEPTIC.
Laundry
Please do not leave the house or go to bed with the dryer running. This is a serious fire hazard. Remove lint from the trap after each dryer use. Please shut off water to clothes washer when not in use.
Umbrellas & Awnings
Please make sure to take down umbrellas and awnings if you leave the house. Wind can pick up quickly and cause damages.
Departure
Please leave the house in the condition you found it. The checkout checklist is a great resource and please check the following prior to departure:
- Furniture back in original location
- Refrigerator cleaned.
- House vacuumed.
- Garbage in plastic bags and left in appropriate place.
- Dishes washed and put back in cabinets.
When you leave the house at the conclusion of your vacation, please make sure that all windows and doors are closed and as you found them on check-in. Storms are not too frequent but they do build up suddenly.
