We started out of MIT and the Outer Cape and lever an innovative digital marketing platform to connect with more high quality tenants. Then we orchestrate the many moving parts behind a successful stay using streamlined processes and thoughtful automation. Customer Support Team Member

Nauset Rental is looking for a flexible, team-player to join our Customer Support team. The qualified applicant will handle reservations, a wide range of customer support services, assisting in daily operations, as well as on-site property tasks. We’re looking for someone who is interested in a long-term position with our team, with potential for growth.

Responsibilities and Requirements
Year Round:
  • Reservationist - Correspond with prospective and current guests via email and phone to drive bookings and field any questions before and during our guests’ stay
  • General administrative and operations support as needed
  • Property online listing building assistance, data entry
  • Online marketing
In Season:
  • Perform quality checks on vacation rental properties – Document any issues using smartphone camera, our checklists, etc.
  • Interaction with tenants and homeowners – client service and communication skills a must
  • Complete various errands, issue resolutions as needed
Applicable Skills / Interests
  • A customer service background and strong interpersonal / communication skills
  • Comfortable with basic technology - i.e. using the web, and a general intuition around new technology and databases
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills, and ability to see a task through from start to finish
  • “Can do” attitude willing to pitch in with hands-on work as needed
  • Ability to take ownership of tenant issues through resolutions (guidance available when needed)
  • Interest or experience in managing social media platforms a plus
Location, Timeframe, Etc
We are looking for a local full-time person to start this fall, working primarily from our Eastham office. The ability to work weekends are a must in-season (Memorial Day to Columbus Day), with flexibility in the off-season.  Depending on the season and business needs, work from home days are possible and often encouraged. We are looking for someone that can operate fair amount independently but would like to have a great long-term job that can be flexible in the off season. We can consider anyone looking to work approximately 30 - 40 hours a week. Preferred time frame is starting November 1st, but flexible. Must have own vehicle. Compensation flexible and based on experience.

Summer Stay Management Staff (seasonal)

Nauset Rental will be hiring seasonal staff this Spring. Great opportunity for college or highschool student to work in Orleans with a Cambridge/MIT affiliated start-up.

Preferred time frame - Mid-May to Mid-October (flexible). Must be available to work on all Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm (July and August a must, June, September preferred too). ~15 hours per week, flexible outside of weekend requirements. The ideal candidate will be reliable and willing to roll up their sleeves on various tasks.  There is certainly room for growth and extra responsibilities for the right person who is interested in learning about a growing start-up company.

Typical Duties:
  • Perform quality checks on vacation rental properties – Document any issues using smartphone camera, our checklists, etc.
  • Leave welcome gifts
  • Interact with tenants and homeowners – client service and communication skills a must
  • Complete various errands, issue resolutions as needed – i.e. buying sheets, toasters if something breaks
  • Occasional vacation rental property cleaning as needed
  • Take ownership of tenant issues through resolutions (guidance available when needed)

  • Must be able to travel to Orleans, MA within 30-45 minutes
  • Availability to work on all Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm (July and August a must, June, September preferred too)
  • Willing to learn and roll-up sleeves to get job done
  • Creative problem-solver
  • Comfortable interacting with tenants and homeowners
Nice to have, but not required
  • Available for work mid-May through mid-October (if not, okay, and we can discuss)
  • Client service experience
  • Past employer reference
